Connie Svoboda, P.E. is a Hydraulic Engineer for the Bureau of Reclamation’s Technical Service Center in Denver, Colorado in the Hydraulic Investigations and Laboratory Services group. Connie has 18 years of experience in physical hydraulic modeling and hydraulic analysis related to hydraulic structure performance and modifications, dam safety, canal operations, fish protection and fish passage, and river restoration. She recently completed research on public safety of low-head dams and she participates on the National Dam Safety Review Board’s public safety at dams task committee. Connie will serve as the lead subject matter expert for the Demonstration Event to test prototype devices at the Bureau of Reclamation’s Hydraulics Laboratory. Connie obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Connie is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado.
